New technologies
New or existing technologies with new application possibilities can no longer be ignored in our digital society. These can and must contribute to the cyber resilience of our society. Without the use of new technologies, we will no longer be able to protect ourselves sufficiently in the future. The Cyber Security Council believes it is important that we in the Netherlands get a better grip on new technologies to counter the threats, but certainly also to take advantage of all the opportunities that the use of technologies entails. Our cyber resilience must keep pace with the digital acceleration that we are now experiencing. This requires close cooperation between central government, local authorities, the business community and academia, in which the government must take on a stimulating role.
